2009 album from the French Electro-Rockers. Born out of restlessness and a steady hunt for inspiration, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is a career-defining album filled with the band’s signature melding of synthetics and organics, sharp, danceable rhythms, infectious choruses with a considerable dose of aural panache and candy-colored pop sensibilities.
I've heard, "1901" for the first time in 2009 on WXPN (large public radio stations). Phoenix has become one of my favorite bands right now, and although I've enjoyed all their albums, this is by far the best. I listened to him dozens of times to the end and will not be boring. No duds on this. The album is well conceived, designed with a consistent approach, the construction of sound, but there are certainly identifiable Singles (1901 and significantly Lisztomania). I am glad that this album isBefore Phoenix deserves some attention, but I hope that in future projects which have their below the radar indie roots.

I do not know where I first indication of Phoenix and Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix "CD. I think it was a recommendation from Amazon, which is part of my musical tastes pretty good. Anyway, I bought it. I have never heard of samples . I tend to buy from reviews, to hear each new CD is a surprise and Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix CD is no exception. I was surprised and pleased.

My first impression was that the CD reminds me of the "New Wave" era of the late '70s and early '80s.This is fine with me as I love New Wave music. It was a simple, essential and very danceable, as the album Phoenix. As I listened to the album I thought it was very similar to the car in many ways. Once again, okay I really enjoyed Cars. The song sounds different, but the background and details of any event reminded me of the cars, plus any number of other bands of New Wave. The music is melodic, simple, repetitive and dance, all the positive attributesin my opinion. I can hear and feel, without getting tired.

This is an excellent album. Real end! It seems old and new at the same time. Reborn New Wave, I guess. If you like New Wave, you should enjoy a lot.
