ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS : The Modern Rock #1s are “Give It Away,” “Soul To Squeeze,” “My Friends,” “Californication,” “Otherside” and “By The Way” (also Top 40 Pop). The Top 20s are “Higher Ground” and “Suck My Kiss.”
I definitely concur that this cd has a good medley of Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Hits. I also love that there are a wide range of songs for different emotions such as Under the Bridge when a someone wants to listen to something to calm their emotions and others such as “Give it Away” when you want an emotional energy boost. The following are a rundown of the songs and a brief info on each:

1. Under The Bridge 10 out of 10 – A song that is about feeling alone, but having the consolation of living in L.A. I also like how Anthony Kiedis sings a creative mini narrative at the end of the song’s chorus when he mentions about what happened when under the bridge downtown.
2. Give It Away 10 out of 10- A RHCP classic about being generous and giving with what you can in life with happiness and enthusiasm. He then energetically sings about what he has to give away. This is a high energy song to listen to when you need an emotional boost, and the song is good for working out to or running a couple miles to as well.

3. Californication 10 out of 10- A strong song about some of the symbolisms of California culture and what makes it a state worth dreaming about.

4. Scar Tissue 10 out of 10- A very dramatic song about sharing with the birds a lonely view, from what I take the references made are metaphoric.

5. Soul To Squeeze 10 out of 10- From what I take in this song, there are some very deep emotions that are being released and expressed, but that he is also going to take it easy along the way.

6. Otherside 10 out of 10- A very dramtic number about going through some psychological and other life challenges and the thoughts of what are being experienced.

7. Suck My Kiss 10 out of 10- A major makeout song with creatively put together sexual innuendos. It is an upbeat song, but also one that a person would want to use discretion in playing around someone younger than 13 years of agel

8. By The Way 9 out of 10- A fast energy song involving metaphoric adventures of people that are to be met and places to go.

9. Parallel Universe 8 out of 10- This is a very creative number about an emotional journey that the singer is going through that is making way for a spiritual rebirth.

10. Breaking The Girl 10 out of 10- A very good song about a special woman who has impacted the singer’s life, but simultaneously had her heart broken.

11. My Friends 10 out of 10- A great song about how he learned the meaning of happiness from a little girl who taught him to express his love unconditionally at an important time when people in his close circle were striving to feel better emotionally.

12. Higher Ground 10 out of 10- A Stevie Wonder inspired masterpiece about perservering and to keep going on life regardless of what happens.

13. Universally Speaking 8 out of 10- Another song about adventures that he has with someone.

14. Road Trippin’ 10 out of 10- This is about taking enjoying the journey in life in general, and when he (the lead singer) mentions go get lost, I think he means to just let go and peacefully accept and enjoy where one goes in life.

15. Fortune Faded 8 out of 10- A song about coming out of adversity in life as a much stronger and resilient person.

16. Save The Population 9 out of 10- A well constructed song involving how the actions of one person or multiple can affect the group of others (hence save the population)

This cd is very enjoyable and can definitely make you think because of the metaphorical meanings. I do agree that there are some hits that could have been on this cd. Two of the favorite songs I would have like to see are “Aeroplane” and “Around the World”. However, this greatest hits collection is a very well crafted put together compilation nonetheless.

Fantastic 2007 UK compilation that features all 23 tracks found on Ronstadt’s original Greatest Hits (1976) and Greatest Hits, Vol. Two (1980). Although often overlooked today, Ronstadt was one of the most popular female vocalists throughout the ’70s and ’80s, helping to usher many musical styles (from Country Rock to New Wave) into the charts. Plus, she’s a fabulous singer to boot! She successfully covered a variety of oldies like ‘It’s So Easy’, ‘Tracks Of My Tears’ and ‘Ooh Baby Baby’ and managed to make them sound like Ronstadt originals! Features all the hits including ‘You’re No Good’, ‘Different Drum’, ‘When Will I Be Loved’, ‘Hurt So Bad’, ‘How Do I Make You’ and many more. Rhino.
Nice and clear remastering (2007) The 1976 and 1980 classic compilations which have been in the United States in the late 80s were never released on CD and remastered (so far this import!). All original songs are here (with a change – Someone To Lay Down Beside Me is the single edit 03:58, not the album released version 4.28, based on the original GH Vol 2). All images of the two original Greatest Hits LP and CD are here (the original red and blue are also album coverson the back). The new green cover with a classic photo from the mid-70s, is a brilliant touch. New liner notes by Sylvie Simmons.

Surprisingly, some of these classics on both Ronstadt "Box Set" or "include Very Best Of" CD (which together were the only music Remasters Asylum Linda over the past 20 years – and both missed several games), so Silver Threads and Golden Needles (1973 version), Desperado, Love Has No Pride, How Do I Make You, Tumbling Dice, and some lay down beside me to appear for the first time remastered. Highly recommended!

Some individual well, a couple of songs from their early stuff seriously, and a good collection of his last album. If you are looking for a collection that could have a special feeling that only want one of their albums. However, if you are looking for a collection of success with a range of 311-style music over the years, without lookingfurther. Good stuff!

Recorded 1968-1970 and includes ‘Susie Q’, ‘I Put a Spell on You’, ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘Lodi’, ‘Green River’, ‘Commotion’, ‘Down on the Corner’, ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Travelin’ Band’, ‘Who’ll Stop the Rain’, ‘Up Around the Bend’, ‘Run Through the Jungle’, ‘Lookin’ Out My Back Door’, ‘Long as I Can See the Light’, ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine’, ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain?’, ‘Hey Tonight’, ‘Sweet Hitch-Hiker’ & ‘Someday Never Comes’. Fantasy label. 1991.
Who would have thought? For me sound like a group that should come from Louisiana or Southern Mississippi because of their deep swamps of the Delta blues-rock sound.

This CD can be improved just a little 'can be better. I see that gives us the full version of "I heard through the" Grapevine, but I really lost the full version of "Suzie Q" as I have always known. I never felt like it was cut short here, and there is no excuse for this. Wouldstand on this CD, but also to have even a bonus track as "Born on a Bayou" or "Midnight Special.

Well, I think I'll just take what they give us and gather my shortcomings and make my own CD Chronicles seconds. The Chronicles second CD, which came out, well, I laugh. The second half of "Suzie Q?" What a joke! I do my 2-CD "Best of Creedence Clearwater Revival," as I need, "Ramble Tamble", "on Chooglin" hold and alsoTwo other tracks that I just mentioned, there are several other great tracks. Hell, I was a second collection on John Fogerty "Rock and Roll Girls" included, "Centerfold" and "The Old Man Down the Road" in 1984. It 's so easy to make a second CD of the CCR complete this new version of Chronicles. So, thank you for the effort anyway.

The Association, Greatest Hits
I took lessons at the local Junior College, the scene when the body hit the mid 60s. Everyone I knew, no matter how "hippie" may have been, in fact as the Association. True classic love songs, that if in the mood, can bring out some emotional memories of love long gone. It does for me and some of my friends (and I think we were pretty cool guys at the time). Want to see it in action? Rent version of the three discs of Monterey Pop. They werethe opening act. They opened their act with "machine", one of the lesser known "songs" the band and its various instruments introduced. Imagine this: while still together and suits traditional work wear (for the record, M-Pop is the progenitor of the festival hippie Re: the song of Monterey Eric Burton & The Animals), a member would describe how each of their instruments played, while also acting as a partner robot shows how to play his instrument. OnceFinished they went right into "Along Comes Mary." Cool & funny at the same time. For nine dollars (ok, it is $ 8.97), we can not go wrong. Your children or grandchildren to this great music. Many will be grateful. Mine has.

The 2008 release of Joe’s Greatest Hits features the single ‘Beautiful’. Singer-songwriter and record producer Joe Thomas has been a force in R&B and Soul music for over a decade. He has sold over 6 million albums domestically and garnered multiple awards and Grammy nominations for his work. Besides the success with his own releases, he has written and produced songs for artists like Mariah Carey, Tina Turner, Barry White, The Backstreet Boys and Chico DeBarge and collaborated with other artists including G-Unit, Jadakiss and Angie Stone.
I had to write a review because of the reviews I read here (the 4 that I saw) were wrong about the artist. Assessments should talk about it, R & B singer Joe Lewis Thomas, known to many fans of R & B with only his name, Joe. His Greatest Hits is to get a good, if not all their previous albums, as a prisoner, "My Name Is Joe" or "All That" I, albums with his former label Jive Records. If you want hits like "Do not Want a player" Well, "The Love Scene" or "If IBuy Was Your Man ", this … or better yet, download from Amazon MP3 Store (though even here).

THE FIRST-EVER CAREER-SPANNING SINGLE DISC GREATEST HITS COLLECTION FROM ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS OF OUR TIME One of the best-selling albums of the Nineties, the five-times-platinum, 1990-issued The Best Of Van Morrison, is out of print. For a new, career-spanning collection from the singer-songwriter ranked in the top half of both Vh1’s “100 Greatest Artists Of Rock And Roll” and Rolling Stone’s “The Immortals: 100 Greatest Artists Of All Time,” only one man could possibly handpick the tracks and oversee their mastering — Van Morrison himself. That is what the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has done for Still On Top – The Greatest Hits. Spanning his work from 1964 to 2005 on a handful of different record labels, Still On Top – The Greatest Hits celebrates a singer who has influenced everyone from Bruce Springsteen and The Doors’ Jim Morrison to Tom Petty and Elvis Costello. Van the Man has been hailed as one of “popular music’s true innovators, a restless seeker whose incantatory vocals and alchemical fusion of R&B, jazz, blues, and Celtic folk produced perhaps the most spiritually transcendent body of work in the rock & roll canon” (All Music Guide).
Van Morrison's voice has matured over time, and while it has never been better, his voice has become richer. This collection takes place at the beginning of material, as it was, and is a little 'surprising to hear his voice, as it was. Some early songs were almost unknown as his songs.

Morrison's band had never just guitar, bass and drums. Relies more on keyboards and brass. In most of his music, his voice is almost a part of the rhythm section.

His musical career spans fourDecades, and he was great during it. His songs are classics. If you like Van Morrison, this is a great collection.

It seems odd that the Band emerged in 1968, defying the counterculture’s extravagant rejections of U.S. culture with literary, often Southern-tinged musical and lyrical vehicles. Hearing this 18-song anthology, with its heavy weighting toward the Canadian quintet’s first three albums–Music from Big Pink (four tunes), The Band (five tunes), and Stage Fright (three tunes)–what still stands out is the Band’s command of yearning vocal harmonies, their sense of plainly laid melodies that reveal acoustic depth, and a nostalgia for an imagined American culture. With all their quirkiness and the advance of Robbie Robertson as their centerpiece, the Band lost their celebrated place in the rock pantheon within a decade. This set, which opens so magnificently with “The Weight,” “Tears of Rage” (cowritten with Dylan), and the big organ-vamping “Chest Fever,” declines rather steeply on the final tracks, “Acadian Driftwood” and “The Saga of Pepote Rouge.” Up till then, however, this set is fantastic. –Andrew Bartlett
For a group of musicians, who began as followers of a music institute in its own rite, the band difficult to classify. In the days of freeform FM radio, Slow Jam workouts like "Tears of Rage would be" filled the air as a kind of musical training, these days, sounds almost archaic hippiesque. Given that, maybe, "Up On Cripple Creek" also plays on the classic rock (if the tape is played in all) that serves more as a profile of one of the worldinfluential groups.

The band has never really shaken 'in the sense that, for example, has a Deep Purple, but she bowed to musical talent, they ventured to their specific weight. When people are like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and Neil Diamond, even after the lead, you know, is rotated a force powerful enough. The band often pulled together strong elements of various genres (gospel, the Memphis soul, folk, rock), in the same song as "I Shall Be Released" orwell-known "The Weight" synthesize these elements, up to a kind of natural beauty. They embraced the American mythology, but mostly Canadians, perhaps more than some of their U.S. counterparts. And if you add the organ of Garth Hudson, who had a sound that nobody else was to create at the moment.

As expected, this single sentence is building on the seminal first two albums, and the writing of guitarist Robbie Robertson's. The best-known songs are here ( "TheTo make weight, "" Up On Cripple Creek, "" The Night I Drove Old Dixie Down ") and a choice few carefully selected, as his cover of Dylan's" When I Paint My Masterpiece. "I suspect it was" The Last Waltz "on a label other than Capitol Hill, said their exclusion from this group, but none of the live" Rock of Ages "seems a bit 'weird. All in all a solid six songs pm If all you want is a quick solution to the band.

The very epitome of “been there, done that,” LL Cool J also has the distinction of having originated (or, at least, being the most proficient at) half a dozen rap styles. On the hits collection All World, all the phases are represented: he was “hard as hell” on 1986’s “Rock the Bells” and again on 1991’s “Mama Said Knock You Out”; on 1987’s “I Need Love,” he was the painfully sappy precursor to Boyz II Men, but he had the formula down pat for 1990’s “Around the Way Girl” (and then he went sappy again on 1995’s “Hey Lover,” a collaboration with the Boyz); and 1988’s “Going Back to Cali” found him stylin’. He’s had his ups and downs and managed to produce only a couple of truly killer albums, but LL’s first dozen years show that he’s left his stamp on nearly every facet of the hip-hop world. –Randy Silver
Not many people can have an exceptional career opportunity as LL Cool J. From 1985 to 1995, Uncle L has many of us really rememerable jams for us to do a kick. From the old school songs like "Rock the Bells" and "I'm Bad" LL has shown that this is why it is one of the best in the 80's & 90's. Back in 1990 when I was a kid, one of the first rap song I heard was "Mama Said Knock You Out", and every time I play the song, always bring back memories. "Back Seat Of My Jeep" is another classic, which I foundone of my favorites from this album.

I have a couple on this album Guilty Pleasures. "Going Back To Cali" is one of them (perhaps because of my love for this state). And the songs of women as "Jingling Baby," the smooth "Hey Lover" is that I had a treatment for l '. And the pop song that is still playing the radio frequency "Loungin (Who Do You Luv Remix)" is another great addition. There are some songs that are missing (like almost all the greatest hits), asCookies pink … " and "I'm That Type Of Guy", but I'm not going to sweat, dass This album is still excellent for a period of ten years, LL. If you're a fan of 80's and 90's rap, do not hesitate to choose this. I started in him when he left "the goat" and I thought this CD would help me catch up, his earlier works. Now, if only half his latest CD is as good as this.

Peace!
